I'm one of the lucky ones.  My passion became my career.

I am so excited to lauch the Ducketts Lane Elementary instrumental music program!  Learning to play an instrument truly changed my life, and I can't wait to get you started on your own musical journey.

A little about me:  I am a classically trained oboist, however I love music of all genres and varieties (jazz, funk, pop, bluegrass...if its good, I like it!).  I attended the University of Maryland, College Park for my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Music Performance and Music Education.  Before coming to DLES, I spent seven years as the instrumental music director at Thomas W. Pyle Middle School in Bethesda, MD. 

 

When I'm not teaching music, you can find me spending quality time with my husband Ben, my daughter Paige and our funny cat Eli.  I also enjoy photography, cooking, design, traveling, and finding new adventures.
